Before the pronunciation worked, now all voices didn’t work

Problem:  I can see a lot of voices in the app, but none of them work.
Reason: The issue happens when “Google Speech Services” module cannot download the voice data on your device.
Solution: download voices manually in Text-to-Speech settings on your device. You can go to these settings directly from the dialog, which asks you to select another voice,
or via App Settings -> Speech settings -> Open Text-to-Speech settings

In the Text-to-speech settings window:

  1. Select “Preferred engine” as Speech Services by Google
  2. Select your learning language in the field “Language”
  3. Try to play test phrase by pressing on the “Play” button

Pay attention!

The preferred engine should be selected as “Speech Services by Google”

If it doesn’t play sound do next:
  1. Press on the settings icon in the same window
  2. Select “Install voice data”
  3. Select your language and Download voice

Pay attention!

The setting “Use Wi-Fi only” should be disabled.
It allows to download new voices when you don’t have a Wi-Fi connection.
This setting is enabled by default on many devices and causes the problem with text-to-speech voices.

After all those suggestions, the text-to-speech should work. If not, please contact us directly from the app per email: feedback@lexilize.com, per WhatsApp or Telegram.
